Steve Marshall - Director
Steve is a Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, and he is also a Chartered Electrical Engineer. His forty years experience has been gained across many industries, and when advising on claims, he brings this wide experience to developing novel approaches to resolving building services issues. The "catalogue engineering" approach so prevalent in construction sometimes just does not provide the optimal answer. Steve has managed organisations in the UK, Middle East, Far East and Africa during his distinguished career. He is responsible for expert witness work at Synergy, and has been appointed as an expert to advise on many multi-million pound disputes. Synergy's deep-seated culture of taking an analytical approach to problem-solving often results in our being able to develop, and justify, dramatically lower cost remedial solutions in claim situations.
Jim Grace - Director
Formerly a director of Atelier Ten, Jim is a Mechanical Engineer with thirty five years industry experience. Jim has been responsible for trail-blazing many innovative engineering projects - including the passive solar shading system on the Theatres on the Bay, Singapore and the UK's first low energy active thermal mass building, the award winning Keble College Library.
Steve and Jim have been working together almost continuously since Synergy Consulting Engineers of Richmond in 1989. Probably the longest working partnership in the business.
