Sustainability
We have pioneered the large scale implementation of many sustainability technologies, including trigeneration, energy piles and decoupled thermal stores.
We take a pragmatic approach, recognizing that many such concepts are economic or sustainable only when considered in conjunction with particular combinations of climatic, structural, or end-user factors.
In particular, we always bear in mind the "Law of Diminishing Returns" which dictates that the return on implementing the second, third, and fourth sustainability measures (ranked in terms of attractiveness) nearly always results in dwindling returns, in terms of capital employed, reduced energy costs and CO2 saved.
The art lies in being able to objectively rank the technologies, and then to communicate the cost and benefits to the project's stake holders effectively.
